The Hunger Hotline will assist callers in the following
areas:
- Referrals to food pantries throughout the state of Illinois,
- Information
about Food Stamps, Medicaid, Cash Assistance, and other income support
programs,
- Complete application for Food Stamps, Medicaid, KidCare and
Cash Assistance,
If a person is having problems with their food stamps, Link Card, Medical
card, or you have not heard from the Illinois Department of Human Services
regarding your application,
please call the Hunger Hotline.
When a person
calls the Hunger Hotline, IHC will assess if you are eligible
for other
programs such as:
- WIC (Women, Infant & Children’s Program)
- School Breakfast,
- Summer Food Service Program,
- Child and Adult Care Food Program,
- Food Stamps,
- Kid Care
- Medicaid.
