EX-CONVICTS AND CONVICTED FELONS
Being ineligible for food
stamps is different from being disqualified
from receiving food stamps:
- You are ineligible for food stamps if your
income or assets are over the limit for your household size (see guidelines
below).
- You can be disqualified from receiving
food stamps if you are convicted of food stamp fraud, which is called
an Intentional Program Violation
(IPV).
IF YOU HAVE BEEN CONVICTED OF A FELONY, YOU ARE
ELIGIBLE
TO RECEIVE FOOD STAMPS IN ILLINOIS,
EVEN IF THE FELONY WAS DRUG RELATED!
